I. Preparations Before Installation
1. Tool Preparation
Prepare a steel tape measure, a spirit level, an electric drill, screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead), expansion bolts, sealant, a rubber mallet, and other necessary tools. Ensure that all tools are in good working condition and properly sized to prevent any compromise to installation accuracy due to improper equipment.
2. Product Inspection
Before installation, unpack the product and inspect it to ensure that the linden‑wood ventilation windows/blinds are free of scratches or damage, that the slats, frame, and hardware components (hinges, handles, fasteners, etc.) are complete and undamaged, and that the dimensions match the measured opening. Proceed with installation only after verifying that everything is in order.
3. Opening Inspection and Treatment
Inspect the installation opening to ensure it is square and smooth, with no protrusions, depressions, or looseness. Remove dust and debris from the opening to keep it clean and dry. If the opening is slightly tilted or uneven, level and correct it in advance, leaving a 5–10 mm adjustment gap to ensure the product remains stable after installation.
II. Core Installation Steps (Universal Version, Compatible with Most Standard Models)
Positioning Markings: Place the product into the installation opening, adjust its position to ensure it is level and plumb (use a spirit level for alignment), and verify that the gaps on all sides are uniform. Once the fixed‑point locations are confirmed, use a pencil to mark the anchor bolt mounting holes on the wall surrounding the opening, then remove the product.
Drilling and Fixing: Drill holes at the marked locations using an electric drill, ensuring the hole depth matches the length of the expansion bolts. Insert the expansion bolts into the holes and tighten them securely to ensure a firm fixation and prevent loosening over time.
Installation: Reinsert the product into the opening, align it with the mounting bolt positions, and tighten the fixing screws using a screwdriver to securely fasten the product to the wall. During installation, gently adjust with a rubber mallet to avoid applying excessive force that could damage the linden wood frame or the blades.
Hardware Installation: Install hinges, handles, locks, and other hardware components, ensuring that all fittings are securely mounted, operate smoothly, and move without jamming. For blinds, adjust the slat angles and verify that the slats raise, lower, and tilt properly.
Sealing Treatment: Apply sealant evenly along the joint between the product’s frame and the wall. The sealant should be compatible with basswood to prevent wood degradation, ensuring a tight seal that prevents water and dust infiltration while enhancing the overall aesthetic of the installation.
Completion Inspection: After installation, use a level to verify that the product is both horizontal and plumb; gently shake the unit to ensure it is securely fastened. Test the operability of the ventilation window and the louver‑blade adjustment mechanism, confirm that the sealant is applied evenly with no gaps, and clear any debris from the installation area.
III. Precautions
During installation, avoid striking the basswood surface with sharp tools to prevent scratches and damage. If the surface is accidentally scratched, promptly repair it with the matching touch-up paint to prevent moisture absorption and warping.
Expansion bolts, sealants, and other auxiliary materials must be of high quality, compatible with the linden wood material and the installation environment, to prevent substandard components from compromising installation stability and product longevity.
Installation should be carried out only after the walls and floors have completely dried, to prevent moisture from causing the linden wood products to absorb moisture and warp, thereby compromising their performance.

After installation, do not subject the product to forceful impacts or vibrations immediately; allow the sealant to fully cure (typically 24–48 hours) before normal use.
